The Centrist believes that Rep. Wilson’s actions in calling President Obama a Liar during a joint session of Congress were deplorable, disgusting, unfitting for anyone representing this great America of ours and downright A$$inine for an elephant sitting in the peanut gallery of Congress. Its hard to imagine that any actions or words could be so unrepresentative of America by a representative…till I read a column by an African American progressive in the Detroit Free Press.
The Op-Ed piece (of trash) says that Rep Wilson should apologize for Bush’s ‘FAKE WAR ON TERROR’. This Op-Ed piece in the Freep was published on the eve of the 9/11 anniversary.
Dear Free Press, there is nothing FAKE about the war on terror. There is nothing fake on how America has been kept safe since 9/11. The mastermind of 9/11 will never give an apology to America. So why should Rep. Wilson apologize to America for a President who protected us from a REAL WAR ON TERROR.

The first photographs of the self-proclaimed 9/11 mastermind at Guantanamo Bay have cropped up on the Internet, and experts say the images of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed are being used by terrorist groups to inspire attacks against the United States.
The photographs, taken in July by the Red Cross at the Guantanamo detention centre in Cuba, show Mohammed in a white robe, a red-patterned headdress and a long salt-and-pepper beard.
Detroit Free endored leadership that has made Detroit look worse than Iraq after 7 years of a ‘FAKE WAR ON TERROR’ . Has the President, Democrats or progressive writers at the Detroit Free Press apologized for endorsing the leadership in Michigan that led to its destruction? Nope?
So Detroit Free Press, Rep Wilson has apologized, President Obama has accepted his apology and the duty of all Americans to stay vigilent and remember those heros who paid the ultimate price goes on today, especially today, 9/11/2009.

It is not enough that Joe Wilson apologized to the president.
It is not enough to say that free speech excuses idiots.
It is not enough that his Republican colleagues denounced him.
Because here’s the thing: Not once in the six years that he oversaw lying and misleading and misrepresenting, all in the name of a fake war on terror
that pushed billions of tax dollars into the pockets of defense contractors, did President George W. Bush stand before Congress and be called a liar.
Joe Wilson, the South Carolina representative who wrecked his career by calling President Barack Obama a liar during his speech before Congress and America last night, intimated that Obama’s health plan offered insurance to undocumented residents.

He was wrong. But he knew it. Still, he thought he’d get away with insulting the president. Until his colleagues turned their backs on him.
So he apologized.

Like Wilson, I haven’t read the 1,000-plus page health care proposal. That’s why I haven’t yet written about it.
But without reading it, I know that it won’t be responsible for thousands of deaths and an estimated $1.6 trillion in taxpayer dollars by the end of this year, as a congressional committee estimated that the Bush Wars will cost.
Some Democrats called Wilson’s rant an emotional outburst fueled by frustration that the Republican propaganda machine trying to kill health care reform has not worked on people who can read.
His outburst also was likened to those that are a staple of the British Parliament where people yell and scream at each other all day.
But such outbursts are not the American way. We are not the British Parliament or India’s Lok Sabha. The U.S. Congress, though full of spirited debate and the occasional throw down, is the stage for our highest levels of leadership, places where civility and respect should separate us from those we think we’re better than.
Joe Wilson didn’t insult the president. He insulted America. And every one of us deserves an apology, too.
