If you are keeping score at home, the magic number is now 15.

That is the number of women who allege they have had an affair with Tiger Woods dating back to his bachelor days, right through to Thanksgiving week.

The names come out on a daily basis. At first it started on places like TMZ, where gossip and news sometimes cross paths. It went to the magazines and tabloids you can buy at your local supermarket: US Weekly, the National Enquirer and Star.

Abroad they get the daily updates from the British Sun, London Guardian, London Daily Mail, and Sunday Mirror. New York’s finest tabloids have joined the fray with pictures and stories in the Post and Daily News.

At first he reported them as mistakes and missteps. Then it became confirmation of infidelity. Now it is a leave of absence. Next it will likely be divorce and disgrace.

His wife Elin, and the two small children, are in seclusion and reportedly in the process of moving. The reports are she will leave and move to an island home just purchased off the coast of Stockholm, Sweden. He will not be welcome there. Tiger remains out of touch with virtually all, a recluse from the golf tour, a prisoner in his own home.

He has left the PGA Tour to save his marriage, or so he says. He left before he was suspended by Commissioner Tim Finchem, who could have removed him for conduct detrimental to the Tour.

Is Tiger Woods In Violation Of PGA Code Of Ethics? Why Hasnt PGA Made Statement On Wood’s Behavior?

Posted By Centrist on December 8, 2009

The Centrist is reading the International PGA Code of ethics which is as follows:

International PGA, Ltd. Code of Ethics
  • All members must be fair and honest in their business dealings and conduct themselves in accordance with the highest professional standards.

  • Members must meet their financial responsibilities on time and honor any contractual agreements with the utmost integrity.

  • Members shall stay up-to-date with continuing educational pursuits and professional development.

  • As an ambassador of the game, personal grooming habits and personal conduct shall be of the highest standard.

  • Members should always show respect and compassion towards those who have placed trust in them

It would appear that with 10 alleged mistresses that ‘personal conduct is not of the highest standard’ but the question is ‘What is the PGA going to do or say about Tiger’s alleged adultry?

If they could suspend John Daly for six months for his drinking, smoking and partying at tournaments, think what they could have done, should have done, to Woods for the scores he was ringing up, albeit, off the course.
